...Um, hello?...It's me, Elizabeth Rose

...And I hardly blame you if you don't recognize the name, or if you don't even see this post. I must seem a stranger to you, at least on this blog. I can't believe it's been five months since I last posted. Five months?! Where did the time go? I'm so sorry for just leaving like that. I now know how much time it takes to keep up a photography blog, especially when you are already involved with several other blogs. As you could probably guess, posting on this blog is not fitting into my schedule. So, I'm closing down The Light Through the Window. I'm not going to delete it--I may come back someday--but for now, this is what I need to do.

I'll be sure to post lots of pictures on my literary blog. And maybe one day I'll make another photography blog. But not now. Because now is not the right time.

Thank you, and goodbye.

Au revoir!

It is with great regret that I inform you, ladies, that I will be taking a blogging break for a while. I don't think it will be for very long--only 2 weeks at the most. The reason for this sudden departure is as follows...

My father will be taking my book's edited manuscript to a friend of his who is interested in seeing it. Isn't that exciting? I am thrilled, to say the least. But this amazing opportunity will force me to push blogging to the wayside for a bit o' time...

Sugar Sweet

I'm not always a sweet tooth, but there are a few sweet treats that I love. And when the Girl Scout cookies arrive the week after Valentine's Day... well, you know you're in for a lot of sweet photos. :)

Blueberry Cobbler Love

Sunday afternoon I made blueberry cobbler as a dessert for after our dinner. It was VERY delicious! Even my dad loved it, and he's not very fond of cobblers. Here are a few pictures I took of the cobbler, both during the baking process and after it was finished. Enjoy!

(Before I put it in the oven.)

(Mmm...!)

(We ate our cobbler with vanilla ice cream--yum!)

(All that was left after I was done. :)

Goodness, this can't be good. Now I'm getting hungry! :)

Winter Snow

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Welcome to My Window!

Welcome to The Light Through the Window! I am so pleased that you stopped by my little blog for a visit. Please click the tab titled My Story to read more about why I decided to name this blog The Light Through the Window, and what I hope for this photography blog to be.

Like the design? All credit goes to Miss Ara of My Designer Girl. I highly suggest that you purchase one of her designs--you will not, I repeat NOT be disappointed. :)

I think it is only fair to include a photo in this post, and so I shall...

This picture is perhaps my favorite of all the pictures I have ever taken. Really. :) Click here to read more  about why this bench is important to me.

Enjoy your stay!
